Callyn Hale

Callyn first joined the Lubbock Private Defenders’ Office as an intern in the summer of 2022. She has dual bachelors degrees in psychology and sociology with a criminology concentration, and received her Master of Arts degree in forensic psychology in May of 2023. As a fully established Forensic Mental Health Caseworker, she is excited to further contribute to her community through mental health casework.

 

Studying the intersectionality of psychology and the legal system has provided Callyn with a unique perspective to understand the complexities her clients are challenged with. Callyn has been passionate about helping to improve the criminal justice system for over 10 years and is thrilled to have the opportunity to do so while working with LPDO.

 

In her free time, Callyn enjoys embroidering, reading, and spending time with her husband and pets.
