Katy Nicholson

Executive Assistant

Katy is a Lubbock local, graduating from Monterey High School in 2010, West Texas A&M University in 2013, and Texas Tech University Health Science Center in 2015.

Originally pursuing a career spent in a lab coat with her B.S. and M.S. in biochemistry and biotechnology, respectively, she fell into a quality assurance role for a medical device manufacturer and quickly realized her attentiveness could be utilized in a number of pragmatic applications, outside of the application of science theory to probe into the unknown. Favoring the absolute over the abstract, she enjoys discussing the credibility of forensic lab practices and reports seen in criminal defense with her husband, Troy. In 2021 she began working in Troy's office to manage administrative responsibilities which then led to the opportunity to join LPDO's administrative staff. Katy is delighted to be able to assist the office and its panel of attorneys to ensure fair justice is available to all.

Troy and Katy have two daughters, Nora and Naomi, born 2019 and 2022, and a son born 2024.
